Types of Funds Available
DONOR-ADVISED FUNDS
These funds are idea for donors who wish to participate in the process of selecting grant recipients. Donors request that each payout be
made to specific organizations, subject to approval by the OCCF Board of Directors.
DESIGNATED FUNDS
These funds are created by non-profit organizations to help build assets and to provide consistent annual income for projects and
programming. Grant payouts are made to the agency itself, usually a charitable organization.
FIELD OF INTEREST FUNDS
Field of interest funds are established by donors to direct funds to a very specific area or purpose. OCCF currently holds eight field of
interest funds for a variety of purposes.
UNRESTRICTED FUNDS
Unrestricted funds are created with no specified purpose in mind, but rather to provide assistance for a variety of immediate and ongoing
community needs. Grant recipients are subject to a grant application process, and are chosen by a diverse committee.
SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS
These funds are designed to provide monies for higher education. Grantees are subject to a number of selection criteria, and must
undergo an extensive application and approval process. Final selection is made by a scholarships committee, and is subject to approval by
the OCCF Board of Directors.
PASS-THRU (NON-PERMANENT FUNDS
Pass-thru funds provide resources for immediate needs, such as expenses or grants from local non-profit organizations. These are
administered by OCCF on behalf of the donors.
