ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
Supporting Organizations are designed to meet specific or broad-range needs within the areas of concern and the geographic boundaries of the community foundations they support. The Orange County Community Foundation is fortunate to host three supporting organizations, each designed to further serve the needs of the people of the county.

SAVING HISTORIC ORANGE COUNTY
Established in 2005, Saving Historic Orange County, or SHOC, was assembled to address the need for historic preservation of the county's
heritage. In 2007 the group was created as a supporting organization of the Orange County Community Foundation, and holds two funds
with the Foundation.
SOL STRAUSS TRUST
When Sol Strauss passed away in the early 1960s, his legacy to his adopted hometown was realized in the form of a substantial trust to
support charitable and educational activity in Paoli. Through the years the trust was handed from bank to bank, until it was eventually
returned to Orange County and became a supporting organization of the Foundation in 2007. Now Mr. Strauss' legacy continues to meet
the needs and causes for which he originally intended, and does so from where it all began.
ORANGE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
The Orange County Commissioners Supporting Organization was established to "diligently disburse funding made available to the county
from Blue Sky Casino AGR receipts." With the casino opening in November, 2006, the OCC Supporting Organization received its first
allotment in December of that year. Since then it has continued to apply casino revenues toward many vital programs, such as providing
free textbooks to students in all three county school systems. In 2008 the group granted funding of $320,971 to county-wide non-profit
organizations, schools and libraries, in addition to $190,163 provided for school textbooks. For 2009, the group provided $193,270 for
county schoolbooks, $50,000 to the county's schools, $$153,000 in scholarships, and $200,073 in grants.
For Good..........Forever.........For Orange County.
